Malan Nel is voltyds direkteur van die Sentrum vir Kontekstuele Bediening, Fakulteit Teologie, Universiteit van Pretoria. Hierdie ekumeniese Sentrum voorsien voortgesette teologiese opleiding vir pastors uit ‘n verskeidenheid van kerke en groepe.

Malan Nel is betrokke by baie gemeentes in Suid Afrika en preek byna weekliks iewers in die land. Hy konsulteer dikwels in gemeentebou prosesse en het reeds in meer as honderd gemeente analises en strategiese beplanning gelei. 

Hy is buitengewone professor in die Departement Praktiese Teologie aan dieselfde Fakulteit.

Hy is tans ook program koördineerder vir die Sentrum vir Bedieninsgontwik-keling (Excelsus) van die Ned Geref Kerk.

Malan Nel is full-time director of the Centre for Contextual Ministry, Faculty of Theology, University of Pretoria. This ecumenical Centre offers continuing theological training for pastors from a wide range of denominations and other Christian groups.

Malan Nel is involved with many congrega-tions in South Africa and preaches almost weekly somewhere in the country. He often consults in processes of congregational development. He led analyses and strategic planning in more then 100 congregations.

He is extraordinary professor in the Department of Practical Theology at the same Faculty.

Currently he is also the program coordinator for the Centre for Ministry Development (Excelsus) of the Dutch Reformed Church.
